Classic Design Studio was founded in 1979 by Noel Weber. Noel, who now has over
thirty years experience in his art is well respected by his fellow artists. Noel was
raised in Chicago where his interest in sign painting began at a young age as
he watched a local sign artist adorn the school buses with their school name. He
attended the Institute of Lettering and Design and the Academy of Art in Chicago
from 1969 through 1971. After five years of apprenticeships with studios in Chicago and
Denver he moved to Boise with his wife and partner, Lucy. Together they established CDS.

CDS likes to think that each new project and installation adds to the history of a community.
They have received an extensive number of commissions and awards, which have had a significant
effect on the character of the city. CDS has set the standard in the field of art, graphics,
signage and architectural details. Working with the best talent and using the latest tools and
materials available, CDS brings a harmonious aesthetic to everything they design and fabricate.
